TOKYO -- Kyoto-based gaming giant Nintendo Co. announced on Nov. 5 that it will open another of its directly managed Nintendo stores in the city of Osaka, western Japan, at the end of 2022.

The new Nintendo Osaka store is set to occupy a spot at the Daimaru Umeda department store in the city's Kita Ward.

In November 2019, Nintendo opened Nintendo Tokyo, the first shop in Japan directly run by the company, at the Shibuya Parco shopping complex in Shibuya Ward. The store is a base for the firm's information announcements and it also sells gaming consoles, software and a variety of associated merchandise, among other items.

Nintendo Osaka will be the company's second store in Japan. The firm says it will announce more detailed information on the shop in the future.
