Japanese allspice blossoms are seen in full bloom at "Robai no Sato" garden in the Gunma Prefecture city of Annaka on Jan. 16, 2022. About 12,000 plants, also known as winter sweet, have been planted in the roughly 3.2-hectare site, delighting visitors with their bright yellow color and sweet fragrance. The garden is run by a group of local farmer volunteers in an effort to revitalize the area. The flower variety with round petals accounts for 90% of plants at the site, and the yellow flowers will bloom until around Feb. 10. The chairman of the management of the site said, "I hope people will enjoy viewing the flowers leisurely amid the coronavirus pandemic."
