TOKYO -- The Tokyo Metropolitan Government began to light up its main No. 1 building in the capital's Shinjuku Ward in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian national flag, on Feb. 28.

The building will be illuminated in those colors between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. until March 6. The metropolitan government said it intends to "display a sense of unity with Ukraine," which has been invaded by Russia.
