TOKYO -- Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates Inc. announced on April 29 that Tadayoshi Okura, a member of the popular J-pop band Kanjani Eight, will be taking a break from work due to worsening tinnitus.

According to the agency, the 36-year-old had had ringing in his ears since about a year and a half ago, and regularly visits the hospital. However, his condition has been worsening since April. He has reportedly been diagnosed with low-tone sensorineural hearing loss in his right ear, and tinnitus in both ears.
