A girl plays amid numerous roses at Gifu World Rose Garden in the central Japan city of Kani, Gifu Prefecture, on May 15, 2022. Flowers of some 20,000 rose plants consisting of approximately 6,000 varieties are in full bloom at the site, one of the largest rose gardens in the world. The roses have bloomed about a week earlier than usual because there were many warm days in April and early May. Visitors can be seen taking photos and enjoying the lovely scents while strolling in the garden. During "Spring Rose Week," which continues until June 12, admission is 1,050 yen (about $8.20) for adults, and free for high school students and younger. For inquiries, contact the garden by phone at 0574-63-7373 (in Japanese).
