BUDAPEST (Kyodo) -- Japan's Tomoka Sato and her younger brother Yotaro won Saturday's mixed duet free routine silver medal at the world aquatics championships.

The Satos finished second with 89.7333 points behind Italy's gold medal winners, Giorgio Minisini and Lucrezia Ruggiero, to finish on the same podium steps they had secured in the technical routine competition.

China's Shi Haoyu and Zhang Yiyao collected bronzes in both events.

The Satos' second silver gave Japan a record seven artistic swimming medals, surpassing the six won at the 2007 worlds.

"We find it easy to be in synch in areas words can't convey," Tomoka said of competing with her brother.
