Tokyo reports 3,803 more coronavirus infections on June 29

TOKYO -- Japan's capital recorded 3,803 new COVID-19 cases on June 29 after registering 2,514 the previous day, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced.

    Three COVID-19 deaths were reported on June 29, and total coronavirus fatalities in Tokyo stand at 4,573.

    The capital recorded an average of 2159.7 COVID-19 cases per day in the fourth week of June, after registering 1,904.1 in the first week, 1,567.3 in the second, and 1,681.7 in the third.

    Tokyo has registered 1,595,301 coronavirus infections to date.
