3,621 new COVID cases recorded in Tokyo on June 30

TOKYO -- The Japanese capital reported 3,621 more coronavirus cases on June 30 after seeing 3,803 the day before, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced.

    Two COVID-19 deaths were reported on June 30, and total coronavirus fatalities in Tokyo stand at 4,575.

    The capital recorded an average of 2159.7 COVID-19 cases per day in the fourth week of June, after registering 1,904.1 in the first week, 1,567.3 in the second, and 1,681.7 in the third.

    Tokyo has registered 1,598,922 coronavirus infections to date.
