Tokyo reports 3,546 more coronavirus infections on July 1

TOKYO -- The Japanese capital reported 3,546 more coronavirus cases on July 1 after seeing 3,621 the day before, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced.

    Two COVID-19 deaths were reported on July 1, and total coronavirus fatalities in Tokyo stand at 4,577.

    The capital recorded an average of 2159.7 COVID-19 cases per day in the fourth week of June, after registering 1,904.1 in the first week, 1,567.3 in the second, and 1,681.7 in the third.

    Tokyo has registered 1,602,377 coronavirus infections to date.
