1 worker dead, 2 unconscious after getting caught under metal sheets at Osaka Pref. plant

OSAKA -- A man died and two others are in critical condition after workers at a metal processing plant in the Osaka Prefecture city of Kishiwada were caught under metal sheets on Feb. 6.
The Kishiwada city fire department received an emergency call at around 11: 50 a.m., which reported an accident at the plant, saying, "Several people are caught under 3-metric-ton metal sheets. Some are unconscious."
According to the fire department, five men working near the metal sheets were injured and sent to hospital. Of these, one was confirmed dead, and two others remained unconscious. Osaka Prefectural Police are investigating the case.
