今週のフレーズ throw caution to the wind
Saori: My sister and I just bought an iPad for my grandfather and sent it to him at the assisted-
living facility where he lives.
Sean: Have you not seen him since the coronavirus outbreak began?
Saori: No. I've talked to him on the phone, but I haven't seen him in over two months.
Anne: That's sad, especially since you guys are so close.
Saori: I know. I miss him so much. So my sister and I figured if he had a tablet, we could video chat with him. He could chat with my sister's kids that way, too.
Anne: Is he going to know how to use the tablet?
Saori: We called the facility, and they said someone would help him with it.
Anne: That's good.
Sean: You're not going to visit him yet, even though some local governments have begun loosening restrictions on people congregating?
Saori: The people who live at the facility where my grandfather lives are all older and at high risk.
Anne: Yeah, you wouldn't throw caution to the wind in a situation like that.
Sean: I wonder when you'll actually feel OK to visit him.
Saori: I'm hoping sooner than later.
