行き詰まる　run into a wall　　　

Kenichi: I've been sketching designs for my new year's cards, and I still haven't been able to create anything that I like.

Rachel: You've run into a wall, huh?

Kenichi: I guess. I haven't even had lunch.

Rachel: What?! It's already past 5 p.m.!

Kenichi: (Sighs) I don't know if I'm going to get this done in time.

Rachel: You're hungry and you need some fresh air. Why don't we go out to get some kebab pita pockets? You need to get some nourishment and clear your head. You won't get far in the state that you're in.

Kenichi: Fine.

(At the kebab cafe, Kenichi finishes his pita pocket)

Rachel: Now do you feel a bit better?

Kenichi: Yep. Thanks for dragging me out here.

Rachel: I didn't want a cranky husband in the house.

Kenichi: (Whispers) Do you see those three people over there? I think they're having a going-away party for one of them.

Rachel: Yeah, it sounds like she got a new job with a manga artist.

Kenichi: Sounds pretty cool. Maybe I should ask her for ideas for my new year's card.

Rachel: Leave the poor people alone!

Kenichi: I'm just kidding. See? Now you have your funny husband back.
