Photo Journal: Tickled pink

Weeping Japanese plum trees in bloom attract visitors at Jonangu Shrine in Kyoto's Fushimi Ward on March 11, 2018. About 150 of the trees are planted in the garden of the shrine and their pale pink and white fallen petals decorate the green moss on the ground. The blossoms can be enjoyed until around March 18. The garden is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The entrance fee is 600 yen for adults and 400 yen for elementary and junior high school students. For inquiries, call the shrine at 075-623-0846 (in Japanese). (Mainichi)
